PLANT MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITY
Direct and coordinate all activities concerned with production, quality, budget, cost controls, procurement, inventory, engineering, safety, maintenance, equipment and master scheduling. Frequent contact with vendors and customers. Reports to VP Manufacturing.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
Must be an EXPERIENCED MANUFACTURING LEADER who has documented success in the IMPLEMENTATION of LEAN MANUFACTURING plant-wide. Must be energetic and forward-thinking with strong organizational skills and dynamic leadership abilities. Must be a proven leader and have a keen eye for detail and have a strong understanding of lean processes and sources of waste. Must possess outstanding communication skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization. Must have the ability to act as a good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor. BEST INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE will be from HVAC, refrigeration, appliances or lawn and garden equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or other related discipline or equivalent. Must have a minimum of seven years of in-depth, related production, leadership experience. Must have the proven ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Must also possess the ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
