The VP Sales and Marketing provides leadership and strategic direction for the organization’s sales and marketing functions in close partnership with the business leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance and ethical behavior. Is accountable for the overall sales organization’s performance, the profitable achievement of sales organization goals and for aligning the sales/marketing objectives with the organization’s business strategy.
Aligns the sales and marketing organizations objectives with the business strategy through active participation in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning and budgeting.
Accountable for effective sales organizational design, including assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share gains, and other key financial performance objectives.
Leads the learning and development initiatives that impact the sales organization and ensures a robust succession plan for sales management.
Responsible for ensuring an effective sales compensation program that provides market-competitive pay, reinforce sales organization strategy and align with the business and sales organization objectives.
Ensures an effective design and use of the sales organizations performance management systems including guiding sales organizational principles for managing performance, establishing critical performance measures for all sales jobs and ensuring all key sales and sales management team members are held accountable for personal lead activities and financial results.
Leads the sales organization change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for organizational change and championing change initiatives as required.
Directs and supports the consistent and timely implementation of company initiatives.
Prioritizes investment in enabling technologies in support of sales organization productivity. Recommends changes and enhancements to existing technology to improve effectiveness and support the achievement of organizational goals.
Establishes and maintains productive peer to peer relationships with customers and prospects.
Identify and address market needs and trends
Lead business unit marketing team in design of traditional and digital marketing strategy to enhance our brand awareness
Oversees marketing communication strategy including
printed materials, website content, social media presents and events
Oversees product management of existing and development of new products/services.
Leverages data and analytics to drive insights and implement metrics to measure results to support new sales and retention of current customer base
Bachelor's degree (B. S.). Master’s Degree (MBA) preferred.
Fifteen years of sales management/leadership experience. Direct Business to Business (B2B) experience preferred.
