An A+ rated client is seeking a Risk Control Department Manager for their Home Office in Davenport, IA. This key position will provide the leadership and strategic direction for the company's Risk Control function, which is spread across the lower 48 states. The position will fast-track to a VP role  in less than 12 months.
Position Summary –
With minimal supervision, timely, accurately and efficiently manages the functions of the Risk Control department, ensures that all administrative matters within her or his area of responsibility are properly managed, coordinates appropriately with other managers in the home office to provide good internal and external customer service, maintains good working relations with co-workers and other company personnel; timely and accurately advises management on matters relating to her or his job responsibilities.
The qualified candidate will have established a very strong safety foundation with focus on the casualty lines of commercial lines insurance, a minimum of 20 years in the insurance loss control function,  with a minimum of 10 years supervisory experience of loss control professionals, preferably a staff of 20 or more. 
Additional  proficiencies required include:

Ø Communication – Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ø Organizational Leadership – Leadership abilities for a  team, along with a long term vision of department objectives and goals in the organization
Ø Accountability – Demonstrate accountability for department activities, accomplishments, and suggested areas of improvement
Ø Customer Service – The ability to provide exemplary customer service for internal and external customers and vendors
Ø Education – Bachelor's degree required preferably in Occupational Health/Safety, Insurance, or Risk Management; Master's degree, a plus
Ø Professional Credentials – Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and/or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred
