Qualifications that we are looking for in this candidate:
The Quality Control Engineer shall have a minimum of five years minimum of experience in a Quality Control position whose sole responsibility is to ensure compliance with the Contract Drawings and Specifications.
Experience in transit and/or electrical construction is required.
Ability to read/reference electrical construction drawings; work in a field and an office environment, strong organizational, communication and analytical skills. Ability to communicate information and ideas verbally and in writing so that other will understand. Able to use: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
What your responsibilities will include:
Implement and maintain the Project Quality Program and ensure that the Contractor and subcontractors perform their work in accordance with the contract documents and the quality control plan.
Conduct periodic QC audits internally, on suppliers and specialist subcontractors. Ensure audit recommendations are implemented.
Serve as the primary contact for all quality related items and issues associated with the project. Plan, direct and supervise all quality functions.
Approve incoming materials by confirmation of specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; reject and return unacceptable materials.
Approve in-process production by confirmation of specifications; conducts visual and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to production supervisor.
Approve finished products by confirmation of specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; return products for re-work; confirm re-work.
Document inspection results by completion of reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste; input data into quality database.
