Hospice of the Western Reserve (HWR) is seeking a full-time Foundations Relations Officer.
The individual will prepare proposals for potential funding sources to obtain funds for ongoing or special projects. Identifies and researches corporate, foundation and government sources of funding; researches funding source proposal requirements and deadlines; writes, edits and proofreads proposals and reports to funders; coordinates preparation, assembly and delivery of proposal documents; and maintains related records, files and report deadline calendar.
Successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and considerable experience in proposal writing, development or a related area. Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in all stages and processes of grant writing and reporting, and the ability to communicate effectively. A genuine commitment to the mission, values and work of the agency and an ability to work effectively with others are required.
